Description

German, Third Reich (c. 1939–1945). War Merit Cross (Kriegsverdienstkreuz) I Class with swords, in silvered tombac, a Maltese cross with crossed swords between the arms and a central wreathed mobile swastika to the obverse, the reverse bearing the '1939' institution date, with a vertical pinback; maker-marked "1" for Deschler & Sohn, München. Of the standard ~48 mm form. Good condition.
