Description

German, Third Reich (c. 1939–1945). War Merit Cross (Kriegsverdienstkreuz) I Class with swords, in silvered tombac, a Maltese cross with crossed swords between the arms and a central wreathed mobile swastika to the obverse, the reverse bearing the "1939" institution date, with a vertical pinback, maker-marked "L15" for Friedrich Orth of Vienna. Measures 48.5 × 48.5 mm. Good condition.
