Description
German, Third Reich (c. 19391945). War Merit Cross (Kriegsverdienstkreuz) I Class with swords, in silvered zinc, a Maltese cross with crossed swords between the arms and a central wreathed mobile swastika to the obverse, the reverse bearing the '1939' institution date, with a vertical pinback; maker-marked "3" for Wilhelm Deumer, Lüdenscheid. Of the standard ~48 mm form. Good condition.
