Description
German, Third Reich. Luftwaffe Herman Goering Division Officer's overseas cap in fine Luftwaffe-blue wool with an even, mild patina. The front carries a machine-embroidered eagle on wool and a machine-embroidered cockade, both original to the cap with neat tailor hand-stitching, the turn-down flap edged in white piping specifically for the Herman Goering Division. The interior is lined in ribbed cotton twill and a white ink size stamp for size 57; no maker's mark, as usual for officer caps. Very good condition.
