Description
German, Third Reich. Waffen-SS cuff title for the 'Germania' regiment, for NCOs and enlisted men, worn on the lower left sleeve. Machine-embroidered lettering on a rayon band roughly 28 mm wide; from December 1939 the earlier Gothic script gave way to a Latin script, and this machine-embroidered style predominated until about 1943, when cheaper machine-woven titles replaced it. Good condition.
