Description
German, Third Reich. Waffen-SS sleeve shield for Croatian volunteers, on black SS wool badge cloth, machine-embroidered in red and white thread with the traditional Croatian checkerboard. Unissued and unstitched, with only very faint age toning; attributed to insignia recovered from the SS clothing depot at Dachau in 1945. Near-mint condition.
