Norway, Kingdom. Royal Norwegian Order of St. Olav, Knight II Class, a rare example by J. Tostrup of Oslo, one of Norway's most esteemed jewellers, in silver and enamels, housed in its original presentation case. Measures 63 x 45 mm; the case 94 x 64 x 23 mm. Founded by King Oscar I in 1847 to reward distinguished service to Norway and to humanity, the Knight II Class recognised notable merit in public service, culture and humanitarian work. Excellent condition.
