Description
German, Third Reich. Luftwaffe Air Gunner and Radio Operator's Badge (Fliegerschützenabzeichen), cloth version in the scarce padded form. Machine-embroidered in off-white and grey thread as a wreath of laurel to the left and oak to the right, a mobile swastika at its base and a superimposed eagle grasping lightning bolts, the reverse with a black rayon backing. Measures 49 x 62 mm. Lightly soiled; otherwise better than extremely fine condition.
