German, Third Reich. Waffen-SS rank collar tab for a Gruppenführer, pre-1942 pattern, of black wool over a buckram core with silver-aluminium wire piping, the face hand-embroidered in silver-aluminium wire with oak leaves and acorns, unmarked. Measures 40 x 55 mm. Extremely fine condition.
