Description
Greece. Order of the Redeemer, Knight's Cross in 18k gold, instituted 20 May 1833. A white Maltese cross with green-enamelled wreath segments between the arms, the obverse medallion bearing a portrait of Christ within a blue enamel ring inscribed "? ????? ??? ???? ????? ?????????? ?? ?????" ("Thy right hand, O Lord, is majestic in strength"), the reverse with a white cross on a blue field within a ring inscribed for the Fourth National Assembly of the Hellenes at Argos, 1829. Surmounted by a large gold crown, weighing 11.6 grams, on its original ribbon. Extremely fine condition.
