Description
Panama. WWI Victory Medal, gold grade miniature. Issued after Panama declared war on Germany in 1917, this is one of the scarcest Allied Victory Medals, with a distinctive red, white and blue ribbon in the national colours; the gold grade was awarded at a higher level of distinction and produced in extremely limited numbers, far rarer than the standard bronze or silver issue. Very fine condition.
